Frankie the dog was sleeping when his friend Poppy the cat came in. They were at home, in Cabra in Dublin, with their family.
Poppy jumped on top of Frankie. Frankie woke up and said, “I want breakfast.”
“I want some too,” said Poppy. They went downstairs to the kitchen. Their human family was getting their breakfast ready but Poppy and Frankie jumped up on the table and started eating the human breakfast.
The humans were shocked, and Poppy and Frankie got in trouble. They were put out in the back garden, and they felt upset and guilty. They were still hungry!
“We should go to the butchers and steal the sausages,” said Poppy.
Frankie said, “No, we’ll get in trouble again.”
“Come on, it’s fine, nothing will happen,” said Poppy.
They walked down the street to the butchers, and they went under the counter and took the sausages, and they ran as fast as they could to the dog park. They ate all the sausages. But they were still hungry.
They went back home, and they snuck into the house looking for dog treats, but there was none left.
The mam caught them on the counter and sent them to the back garden again. Frankie was really upset.
Poppy tried to get back into the house, but the door was locked.
Frankie said, “We probably shouldn’t be bad like this, because Santa wouldn’t like it and we’ll be on the Naughty List.”
They decided to write a letter to Santa to help them.
Dear Santa,
Me and Poppy need your help. We are really hungry, but our owners left us out in the garden.
We really need your help because we’re starving, and we’re really sorry about stealing them sausages!

Santa sent them a note that told them to get a sleigh from the Magical Island to go to the North Pole, and that he would help them.

小狗阿飛正在睡覺，這時小貓波比走進了房門。阿飛和波比一起跟他們的家人住在都柏林卡布拉。
波比跳到阿飛身上把他搖醒，阿飛說:「我想要吃早餐」。
波比說:「我也想要」。他們走下樓到廚房，這時，他們的家人(也就是人類)已經幫他們把早餐準備好了。但是，波比和阿飛跳到了餐桌上，立刻吃起了人類的早餐。
家人們嚇了一大跳，波比和阿飛這下倒大楣了。他們被趕到了後花園，知道自己做錯事情所以心情不太好。但是，他們還是很餓！
波比說:「我們去肉攤老闆那邊偷些香腸」。
佛蘭基:「不行，這樣我們又會惹麻煩」。
波比說:「別想太多啦！不會有事的」。
他們沿街走到了肉攤老闆的店舖，接著從櫃檯底穿過去然後拿走香腸。之後他們用盡全力快速地跑到狗狗公園。他們吃掉了所有香腸，但是他們肚子還是很餓。
波比和阿飛回到家，悄悄溜進房子裡找狗糧，結果什麼也沒找到。
人類媽媽在櫃子邊抓住了他們，接著把他們又丟到了後花園。阿飛的心情簡直糟透了。
波比試著回到房子裡，但是門已經被鎖起來了。
阿飛說:「或許我們不應該做這些壞事，因為聖誕老人不喜歡這樣，他會把我們列入壞小孩名單」。
於是，他們決定寫一封信請求聖誕老人的幫助。
親愛的聖誕老人：
我和波比需要您的幫助。我們真的超餓，但主人只管把我們丟進院子裡。
我們很需要您的幫助，因為我們餓壞了。我們很抱歉偷了那些香腸！

聖誕老人給他們留了一張字條，讓他們到魔法島上搭雪橇去北極找他，他會幫助他們。
當阿飛和波比抵達魔法島時，他們發現沒有麋鹿可以拉雪橇載他們去北極，所以他們得回到都柏林的鳳凰公園找一些麋鹿……
