從前從前，有一座會發出轟隆隆聲響的滾燙火山，裡頭住著一隻叫做麥斯的飛龍。
某天早上，麥斯正在享用他的熔岩濃湯。享用完後，他決定飛去找他的好朋友玩，他的好朋友也是一隻飛龍，名叫吉米。
他們一起踢了一會兒足球，吉米問麥斯：「你要不要來我家玩？」
「好啊！」麥斯回答。
吉米住在一座高塔裡。在他們一起飛回家的途中，正巧碰到人類們準備攻擊吉米的家。
麥斯看到這個畫面，嚇得魂飛魄散，便朝著地面噴出了火焰。
人類們非常害怕麥斯和吉米，因此向麥斯和吉米投擲長矛反擊。
面對眼前無數根長矛，吉米來不及躲開，他的翅膀不幸被其中一根長矛命中，最後摔落到了地面。
麥斯大喊：「不！吉米！」
他俯衝飛向地面，想拯救自己的朋友。麥斯用盡全力將吉米背到肩上，並帶他回到他在火山的家。
麥斯決定搬家，去建造一個更適合他們兩個居住的地方。
麥斯飛呀飛呀，來到了一個離火山很遠很遠的魔法洞穴，他在洞穴裡發現了一把魔法小提琴。
於是麥斯帶著小提琴飛回他與吉米的新家，並馬上演奏了一首新曲子。
小提琴的琴聲使屋子裡的一切都充滿了魔法。
就在這時，吉米醒了過來，「我的翅膀好了！我感覺好極了！」吉米興奮地說。
麥斯非常開心，但他還是想向人類們報仇。
突然之間，黑色的雷雲壟罩了麥斯與吉米的魔法屋，麥斯的頭上也突然長出了角...

Max the Dragon was at home in his volcano. The volcano was very loud and very hot to touch.
One day, Max the Dragon was eating his lava soup for breakfast.
After breakfast, he went outside to play with his best friend, Jimmy the Dragon.
After they played football for a bit, Jimmy asked, ‘Do you want to come to my house?’
Max said, ‘Ok!’
Jimmy lived in a tall tower. As they were flying there, they saw humans ready to attack.
Max was so scared that he breathed fire and it split open the ground.
The people were afraid of Max and Jimmy, so they threw spears at them.
One of the spears hit Jimmy’s wing and he fell to the ground.
Max cried, ‘NOOO!’
He flew down to help his friend. Max carried Jimmy on his back and brought him back to his home at the volcano.
Max decided he needed to build a new house for him and Jimmy to live in.
Max went to a magical cave far from the volcano and he found a magical violin.
He brought it back to the new house and began to play a new song.
The music from the violin made everything in the house magical.
Jimmy woke up and he felt better.
‘My wing is better. I feel great!’ Jimmy said.
Max felt happy but he wanted revenge on the humans.
Suddenly, there were black thunderclouds outside the magic house and Max grew horns on his head…
